Today,
the sun shines brightly.
Light rays streaking through windows,
reflecting across the table,
elevating spirit, life, smiles.
Today,
there's not a care in the world,
hearts melt with a sense of peace.
A strong desire begins,
for this moment to never end.
Today,
the sky is gloomy.
Clouds darkening earth with stains,
raindrops trickling down window seals,
wind colliding with hard stone walls.
Today,
there's an erruption of feeling,
minds overdriven by thoughts,
people screaming and praying,
"Please, oh please! Will everything stop?!"
Today,
that's life for us teens.
One moment life is groovy,
in an instant it all goes bad.
We can't do much to control it.
Today,
we put up an appearance,
through the uncertainty of life,
asking ourselves, how do we go on?
