Get out of your comfort zone!!!!!!
In the book of Matthew there is a story about Jesus and His disciples. I am not very sure which chapter and stuff but it is about the disciples who were on the boat and there was a super heavy storm..And Jesus was walking on the water to the boat and told His disciples not to be afraid it was only Him.And Peter said "Jesus if it is really You, tell me to come to You." and Jesus replied with one word. "Come".
Anyone familiar with that story?I tried to put it in the best way I could. On Friday, I had my youth service and my pastor spoke about this story. And what he said I think is so true!!! And I am going to share it with you.
Dave(my pastor) said that the boat is like our comfort zone in that sense. If we get out of the boat our fear will attack us.In that sense.Lets just say the fear is rejection.We are so scared of being rejected that we just stay in that boat and we don't do anything.We just sit in there.
And all God wants us to do is get out of that boat!!! Get out of our comfort zone!! We may be scared about what might happen and what obstacles and challenges we have to face, but you see, that is exactly what Peter did.He doubted Jesus and he started to sink when he was walking on the water towards Jesus. God will be with us through everything!! All He wants is for us to 'COME'!
This is what I think.
See, so many of us are just sitting in our boats.Not doing anything.Not bothering to do anything for God.Just sitting in that boat of ours and rotting!!! After what God has done for us, the least we could do is live for Him.Get up and do something for Him!
Lets start with the small things. Do our devotions everyday.I know it is hard. To be honest, I don't do it everyday either.It is really hard.But just to do our devotions isn't really a hard thing!Next thing we could do...Bring our notebooks and bibles to church. How many of us do that?!! And yes I have to admit, I dont always do it too.And I hate myself so much for doing it now.Especially yesterday.We had Sy Rogers speak and I DIDN'T BRING MY NOTEBOOK! Why?? Because I brought my water bottle,wallet,phone and a whole load of other things.It is so not right!What is mroe important?
And all the other stuff like praising and worshipping God during praise and worship. Instead of just standing there like a piece of wood...move around! Lift up our hands.SING! There are times when we just don't feel like it..But you know what..I seriously think those are the best times to praise God!Or just praying.In our own time. Thanking God.Looking to Him.Surrendering to Him.Giving our all to Him and not to anything else.Putting Him first! Not our computer games or stuff like that.. You get what I mean?
How can we call ourselves a christian when we don't do all these things?Not saying we don't.You know what I mean.Matthew 7 verse 21 says :
Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord,Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
Yeah...so I want to challenge you today..and myself. Why don't we try and get out of our stinky old boat and go to God.Do what He wants us to do.Get our relationship right with Him. It is up to you.....You can keep falling behind in your walk with God, you can just stay where you are or you can get up and say " God I have been in the same place for too long.I am going to get my life right with You!"And keep growing in your walk with Him.

so stupid!!!!
This is really not cool la.. But I thought it was so funny!! I guess I was a bit emotional then and needed laughter and I thought it was so so so so funny!! aahaha I would put more pictures up but it is late. So pictures will be on my next post.. For now.. here is a really lame joke I got off Judah Cheah's xanga. (yes confirm firm minus points for me!)
A young blonde was on vacation and driving through the Everglades. She wanted to take home a pair of genuine alligator shoes in the worst way, but was very reluctant to pay the high prices the local vendors were asking.
After becoming very frustrated with the "no haggle on prices" attitude of one of the shopkeepers, the blonde shouted,
"Well then, maybe I'll just go out and catch my own alligator, so I can get a pair of shoes for free!"
The shopkeeper said with a sly, knowing smile,
"Little lady, just go and give it a try!"
The blonde headed out toward the swamps, determined to catch an alligator.
Later in the day, as the shopkeeper is driving home, he pulls over to the side of the levee where he spots that same young woman standing waist deep in the murky bayou water, shotgun in hand.
Just then, he spots a huge 9-foot gator swimming rapidly toward her. With lightning speed, she takes aim, kills the creature hauls it onto the slimy bank of the swamp.
Lying nearby were seven more of the dead creatures, all lying on their backs. The shopkeeper stood on the bank, watching in silent amazement. The blonde struggled and flipped the gator onto its back.
Rolling her eyes heaven-ward and screaming in great frustration she shouts out,
"DARN IT!!!. THIS ONE'S BAREFOOT TOO!"

Two weEks of hOlidAy....
Yes.. my two weeks of holidays are over!! Really don't want to go back to school.. But I can't do anything but let you all know I had a great holiday!! Great holiday!!! We had Jaclyn Victor and Juwita Suwito here.. Yup we did..Had a family holiday..and a whole load of other stuff..ahah YES!!! i did take heaps of pictures..so here they are..Enjoy=)

Hey everyone...
It has been a while since I have blogged. Not sure what to blog about.. haha yeah.
Oh guess what??? Guess what?? Guess what?? Jac, our very first Malaysian Idol, is here in Adelaide!!! How cool is that?? She came to my house for breakfast this morning!! hahaha
She is here to perform in our church.. She is going to be very busy. She is going to perform tonight at our International students, asian families and african families night. And half way she will go to the youth hall to perform in the youth service. Then she has something on on Saturday and on Sunday she is going to perform in our evening service.. how cool?? how fun?? ahaha
Will definitely post pictures!! ahhaa

YES!!! I AM ON HOLIDAY!!!!!! Woo Hoo!! can't wait to do all the stupid stuff we are going to do.. Am at Sun's, Anne's an Gracie's house right now..Even though gracie isn't here. Yup... The Goh's are coming tomorrow...actually in a few hours time la.. aah yeah.. Looking forward to having more people around.. So we can be the 'exclusive fga gang'. ahahhahhhahahaha!!!
Sorry.. a bit the high today..something wrong..Too excited about the holidays.. Was laughing with this little boy named Brandon.. he is so funny.. I was chasing him and he did this stupid sign at me..(nothing bad..don't wory) and yeah la..I was chasing him and doing stupid things. And yes, I am a sinner. I was smsing during youth today... It's not my fault..Danielle ng was the one who messaged me first!! And she asked if i was home so i thought she was going to call..So i didn't want to like make her call and then go to voicemail and bla bla.. so i replied her message and we went on and on and on. Oh my gosh.. Honestly, I think we sent like more then ten messages to each other man.. In like one night. And that is alot of money!! Seriously.. But oh well.. I love her very much!! i am just talking nonsense cause i do not know what to say.. so yeah..
Got this thingi out of a book i was reading at the book shop yesterday. And i think it is so so so so true..
Many people spend their lives either living in the past or the future. But God is stirring up a NOW GENERATION. A generation that refuses to let the issues of the past hold them and the dreams of the future elude them. Young people everywhere need to stop simply dreaming their dreams and start living them instead!
I will leave you all with that.. Time for me to go now.. see ya=)
